This opportunity may be for you! We are looking for dedicated individuals who enjoy serving the public to provide transportation for residents of Kennebec and Somerset Counties. If you are age 21 or over and have a valid Maine driver’s license, and/or a CDL license with P endorsement, a good driving record, then this may be the chance to put your customer service skills to work in a new environment.

Spare Positions available: Spare Drivers normally work on an on-call or as needed basis, but may also work on a regular bases when needed. A flexible schedule works best for anyone interested in a spare driver position. All drivers operate Agency-owned vehicles to transport passengers to and from appointments, as assigned.
Requirements: In addition to a Maine license, must be physically able to assist passengers in and out of the vehicle including passengers using a wide variety of mobility aids, (wheelchairs, walkers, motorized three-wheeled scooters, etc.) and ability to perform moderate twisting, bending, pushing, lifting and carrying packages weighing up to fifty pounds. Must pass an Agency-approved physical examination, pre-employment drug screening, and pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Motor Vehicle, Fraud and National Sex Offender Registry background checks. Must be able to relate to a wide variety of people and maintain a pleasant attitude in all driving conditions.
