The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is seeking a
Curriculum Designer. This position will, working collaboratively with faculty,
workforce development staff, and college-based curriculum developers, develop
and revise curriculum to meet the workforce needs of the state. This work will
include the development of programs and courses and authentic assessment of
methods and tools that lead to a variety of stackable credential options,
including digital badges, micro-credentials, certificates, and associate
degrees. The Curriculum Designer will lead the System’s expansion and
improvement of local and statewide delivery of hard and soft work ready skills
in technical and business-related disciplines, focusing particularly on
high-demand skills and occupations within the state. This position will utilize
best practices in the delivery of curriculum to target populations that
increases access through use of multiple delivery modalities.
This is a three-year grant funded position and will be based
in Augusta with regular statewide travel.
A Bachelor’s degree in curriculum design, education, or
related field, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in curriculum development
and course design are required. A Master’s degree in curriculum design,
education, or related field desirable.
