applications for the part time position of Administrative Assistant.
24 hours per week. Office is
open Tuesday – Friday. $15 per hour. Benefits include 8 paid holidays, some vacation time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

newsletter, appeals and program announcements
Actual Job Responsibilities:
1. Welcoming all guests and introducing them to
our current exhibit, helping them with questions and introducing them to the Executive
Director or Collections Manager as is most appropriate.
2. Entering and maintaining membership and
development records on Past Perfect.
Providing reports as needed.
3. Entering and maintaining financial
information on QuickBooks in support of the outside bookkeeper.
4. Enter and Maintain the content on the FHS
website and Face Book accounts.
5. Supporting the Executive Director and
Collections Manager with preparation for public events with printed materials,
media announcements and graphic support.
6. Managing all mailings to the membership and
others including the Membership Drive, annual fund drive, publicity for special

quarterly newsletter, The DASH.
8. Work with the ED and CM in the development
and supervising of volunteers.
9. Ordering and maintaining appropriate levels
of office supplies and materials for sale.
10. Share in the everyday cleaning of the
building with the rest of the staff.

through team-based collaboration with Board members, Executive Director and

Professional Qualifications (Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities)
· Associates Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and
· Proficient in Social Media to effectively market
· Experience handling phones and other office
· Able to multi-task
· Flexibility to work in a small team
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work
independently as well as part of a team
· Ability to interface with and engage diverse
volunteer and donor groups
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The Administrative Assistant usually
works in an office environment, but the mission of the organization may
sometimes take him/her to non-standard workplaces. The Administrative Assistant works within a
standard work week and additionally will often work evenings, weekends, and
overtime hours to accommodate organizational activities such as Board meetings
and representing the organization at public events.
