Auburn Manufacturing, Inc. (AMI) manufactures a wide range of high performance, high temperature fabrics.
Machine Operators/Weavers assume responsibility for all phases of operating wide looms to create cloth. Inspects product for quality before shipment. Operates wide looms to create cloth according to procedure. Tends the creels/spools that supply continuous yarn into machines. Ties in new Beams and ensures yarn draws on loom properly. Performs minor maintenance and fixing of wide looms. Operates fork lift truck to obtain materials needed. Assumes responsibility for in-process, final inspection, and overall quality of product.
Minimum of six months of manufacturing experience, preferably in textile manufacturing. Ability to obtain Fork Truck Operator certification. Ability to lift and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds. Routinely operates/uses equipment, machines, and tools requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position working Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days.
