Kennebec Valley Community Action Program is looking for highly energetic & creative problem solvers to work in our Maine Families Home Visiting Program. As a Family Visitor, you will work with expectant parents and parents of young children in their homes, helping families to understand their child's development and support parental/child attachment. Previous Case Management and home visiting experienced preferred. We believe that parents are a child’s first and best teachers, and we support parental development by building on a family’s strengths.

Successful applicant must have the ability to work with a wide variety of people in different circumstances and culturally diverse populations. Non-Negotiable Requirements are a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, social work or related field and 12 months paid experience working with young children, birth to 6 years old. Must also possess a valid driver’s license and have use of a vehicle insured to State of Maine requirements; ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Motor Vehicle, National Sex Offender Registry and Fraud background checks.
