REGIONAL ACCESS DIRECTOR
The Maine Community College System is seeking a Regional Access Director located at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering the Embark Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships and individualized mentoring for students as they transition to one of Maine’s seven community colleges. The Regional Access Director supports students during their junior and senior years of high school to facilitate the college admissions and financial aid application processes, providing continual support throughout their college experience. The position is also responsible for supporting the integrity of the program while building relations with secondary and college partners.
Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Director of College Access, this full-time position serves students throughout the Bangor region and will require regular travel.
A Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of educational environments, high school and college cultures, and adolescent development required, along with strong interpersonal, group facilitation and problem-solving skills. A Master’s degree and experience in teaching, administration or guidance desirable.
